Stage 1 - Initial Consultation

Brief: We make an assessment to understand the brief. We run through all your needs and requirement of the project. This is what the design is based on

Pre-Design Analysis: We gather data and research the requirements of the site and its existing conditions. Site visits may be needed in this early stage. We check any covenants and district plan rules.

Stage 2 - Design Process

Preliminary Design: With the brief established we can now begin the design process. We develop a schematic design for presentation and review.

Developed Design: Based on your feedback we develop the design further and begin involving other consultants if they are required for the project. If a resource consent is required, we prepare the drawings for this application.

Stage 3 - Documentation

Detailed Design: Now is when we detail the documents ready for council consent and construction. These drawings are highly detailed and are developed alongside any calculations needed and specification. At this stage we can send the drawings out to contractors for pricing.

Contract Tendering: You have the ability to manage this aspect yourself if you already have a relationship with a building contractor. If you need our involvement this is where we manage communication and documents between all parties.

Stage 4 - Construction

Contract Administration & Observation: At this stage construction begins and if we are engaged to do observations we perform site visits and process site meetings and directions along with the administration and documentation.
